Let's Dance Canada on danse - Contest Instructions

CONTEST OVERVIEW

Share your dance passion and win amazing prizes! Create a 30-60 second video about why you love to dance, and help spread the joy of dance across Canada from June 7-27, 2025.

HOW TO ENTER

  1. Create Your Video (30-60 seconds)

    • Begin with the phrase “I dance because…”

    • Include at least one dance move or sequence

    • Share your personal connection to dance

    • End by inviting others to try dance classes

    • Keep videos between 30-60 seconds

  1. Post Your Video

    • Upload to Instagram Reels or Facebook Video

    • Include hashtags #LDCOD and #dancecanadadanse

    • Tag your dance studio (or dream studio)

    • Follow Canadian Dancewear Association on Instagram or Facebook

PRIZES

  • Grand Prize: One year of free dancewear ($500 gift card )

  • 2nd Prize: Six months of free dancewear ($300 gift card)

  • 3rd Prize: Three months of free dancewear ($200 gift card)

  • Ensure your full body is in frame when dancing
  • Consider using a mix of close-up and full-body shots
  • Show your facial expressions – let your joy shine through

 

Technical Tips

  • Use your phone’s main camera (not the selfie camera) for better quality
  • Record in a space with minimal distractions in the background
  • Test your audio before recording your full video
  • If possible, have someone film your dance sequences
  • Edit transitions to flow smoothly between speaking and dancing
